Restoration of Ambulation in Patients with Lower Back and Tailbone Pain: A Retrospective Case Series from Lotus Chiropractic Care
Background: Lower back and tailbone pain are prevalent conditions often leading to significant mobility impairment. This retrospective case series investigates the outcomes of chiropractic care for patients presenting with these complaints at Lotus Chiropractic Care. Methods: This study reviewed outcomes from three patients who presented with severe lower back and tailbone pain at Lotus Chiropractic Care in Dunwoody, GA. All patients received chiropractic care, primarily focusing on Upper Cervical Chiropractic and other related techniques, over a period of less than one month. Key outcomes assessed included subjective reports of pain relief and improvement in mobility, specifically the ability to walk. Results: All three patients reported substantial pain relief and restored mobility, enabling them to return to daily walks within less than one month of care. While quantitative pain and mobility scores were not systematically tracked, qualitative reports consistently indicated significant functional improvement. Conclusions: The findings from this small case series suggest that chiropractic care, as practiced at Lotus Chiropractic Care, may be associated with rapid improvements in pain and mobility for individuals suffering from severe lower back and tailbone discomfort. Further research with standardized outcome measures and larger cohorts is warranted.
