A Retrospective Case-Series on Chiropractic Care for Lower Back Pain at an Apex Chiropractic Clinic in Houston, TX
Background: Lower back pain (LBP) is a prevalent musculoskeletal condition affecting a significant portion of the adult population, often leading to disability and reduced quality of life. This retrospective case-series investigates the outcomes of chiropractic care for LBP at Apex Chiropractic in Houston, TX. Methods: De-identified data from six unique patient cases presenting with lower back pain to Dr. Kevin Wafer at Apex Chiropractic were analyzed. Primary outcome measures included self-reported pain reduction percentages and qualitative descriptions of symptom improvement and functional restoration. Results: Analysis of the six cases revealed a mean pain reduction of 85% (median 85%). Patients reported significant improvements, including complete elimination of pain, resolved discomfort after a few visits, and becoming virtually pain-free. Key outcomes encompassed notable pain reduction, improved posture, and a return to daily activities. Conclusions: This case-series suggests that chiropractic intervention may be effective in reducing lower back pain and improving functional status in patients. The observed outcomes warrant further investigation through prospective studies with larger cohorts.
