Spinal Health Outcomes in a Chiropractic Setting: A Retrospective Case Series from Missoula, MT
Background: Spinal health is crucial for overall well-being, with conditions like lower back and neck pain impacting quality of life for many individuals. Chiropractic care offers a non-pharmacological approach to address these concerns. Methods: This retrospective case series analyzed data from four female patients at Primal Practice in Missoula, MT, presenting with chief complaints of lower back pain or neck pain. Data collected included initial and final pain scores, and calculated pain reduction percentages over 13-15 weeks. Mobility improvement was not consistently tracked. Results: The mean pain reduction observed across the four cases was 3%, with a median of 2%. Individual cases showed pain reductions ranging from 1% to 8%. For instance, one patient with lower back pain reported an 8% reduction in pain over 13 weeks. Limitations include the small sample size, retrospective design, lack of a control group, and reliance on self-reported pain scores. Conclusions: The modest pain reduction observed in this small case series suggests a limited impact on initial pain scores within the studied timeframe and population. Further research with larger cohorts and standardized outcome measures is warranted to better understand the effectiveness of chiropractic interventions for spinal health improvement.

Retrospective Case Series: Lumbar and Cervical Spine Pain Outcomes in a Chiropractic Clinic Setting
Background: Chronic spinal pain, including lower back pain and neck pain, represents a significant global health burden, often leading to functional limitations and reduced quality of life. This study investigates the outcomes of chiropractic care for patients presenting with various spinal complaints at a specific chiropractic clinic. Methods: A retrospective case series review was conducted on 15 de-identified patient records from Larger Than Life Chiropractic in Macon, GA. Data collected included initial and final pain scores, and calculated percentage reduction in pain over a specified treatment timeframe. Mobility improvement was not tracked consistently. Results: Across 15 cases, the mean pain reduction observed was 8%, with a median reduction of 9%. Individual patient outcomes varied, with pain reduction percentages ranging from 3% to 13%. For example, Case 4, a female aged 50-55 with neck pain, demonstrated a 13% pain reduction over 14 weeks. Conclusions: These findings suggest that chiropractic care, as administered at Larger Than Life Chiropractic, can be associated with reductions in perceived pain for conditions affecting the lumbar and cervical spine. Future research with more comprehensive outcome measures and larger cohorts is warranted to further explore the efficacy and specific benefits of chiropractic interventions for spinal health.

Spinal Health Score Outcomes Following Chiropractic Care: A Retrospective Case Series at Optimal Family Chiropractic Practice
Background: Spinal health is crucial for overall well-being, with diverse pathologies impacting quality of life. Chiropractic care offers a non-invasive approach to managing various spinal conditions. This study reviews patient outcomes at a single chiropractic practice using a Spinal Health Score metric. Methods: A retrospective case series analyzed data from 60 patients presenting to Optimal Family Chiropractic Practice in Edmond, OK, under the care of Dr. Josh Wilson. Patient data, including initial and final pain scores (measured on an unstated scale), and calculated pain reduction percentages, were extracted. Results: The aggregated data for 60 patients showed a mean pain reduction of 12% and a median pain reduction of 9%. Individual cases demonstrated varied responses, with some experiencing reductions up to 33%. For instance, a 25-30 year old female with lower back pain achieved a 33% pain reduction over 6 weeks. Another 50-55 year old female with lower back pain experienced a 21% reduction in 7 weeks. Mobility improvement data were not tracked. Conclusions: The findings suggest that chiropractic care, employing techniques such as Decompression, Diversified Technique, and SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Therapy, may be associated with improved Spinal Health Scores, particularly in terms of pain reduction, in a subset of patients. Further research with standardized metrics and larger populations is warranted to confirm these observations.

Changes in Spinal Health Scores Following Corrective Chiropractic Care: A Retrospective Case-Series
Background: Patients seek chiropractic care for a variety of musculoskeletal complaints, with treatment success often measured by subjective pain reduction. Objective scoring systems can provide a more comprehensive view of spinal health changes. This study assesses changes in a proprietary Spinal Health Score for patients at a single chiropractic clinic. Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-series of 34 patients at Corrective Chiropractic - Buckhead. Data including initial and final Spinal Health Scores, chief complaints, and care duration were extracted from de-identified patient records. The primary outcome was the percentage change in the Spinal Health Score, a metric where higher scores indicate better spinal function. Results: The cohort of 34 patients demonstrated a mean improvement of 18% in their Spinal Health Score, with a median improvement of 15%. Patients presented with complaints including neck pain, low back pain, and extremity pain. Individual outcomes varied, with score improvements ranging widely across different timeframes. Conclusions: In this retrospective case-series, patients undergoing corrective chiropractic care showed, on average, a positive change in their Spinal Health Score. The lack of a control group and the single-clinic setting limit the generalizability of these findings. Further controlled research is needed to establish causality.
