Chiropractic Care for Work-from-Home Back Pain: A Retrospective Case Series at TOPCHIRO Almere
Background: The increase in remote work has been associated with a rise in musculoskeletal complaints, particularly back pain. This study investigates the outcomes of chiropractic care for patients experiencing work-from-home related back pain at a single chiropractic clinic. Methods: This retrospective case series examines the records of three patients presenting with back pain attributed to prolonged desk work from home at TOPCHIRO Almere - Chiropractic Care & Spinal Correction in Almere, Netherlands. Inclusion criteria required documented chiropractic care and verified improvement. Outcome measures, including pain reduction and mobility improvement, were not quantitatively tracked. Results: All three cases reported symptom improvement following chiropractic intervention. Case 1 experienced improvement after professional evaluation and treatment. Case 2 reported highly effective symptom relief. Case 3 benefited from prompt access to care and a clear treatment plan. Specific numerical metrics for pain and mobility reduction were not available for aggregation. Conclusions: While limited by its small sample size and retrospective nature, this case series suggests that chiropractic care may be beneficial for individuals experiencing back pain exacerbated by work-from-home conditions. Further research with objective outcome measures and larger cohorts is warranted to substantiate these observations.
