Chiropractic Care for General Wellness: A Retrospective Case-Series from SYMETRx Chiropractic and Injury Care
Background: General wellness is a broad term encompassing physical and mental health, often sought through prophylactic and health-optimizing interventions. Chiropractic care is frequently utilized by individuals aiming to maintain health, enhance function, and prevent future ailments rather than solely addressing specific pain complaints. This case-series investigates the reported outcomes of patients seeking general wellness at a specific chiropractic practice. Methods: A retrospective case-series design was employed, analyzing de-identified patient outcome data from SYMETRx Chiropractic and Injury Care (Formerly Known as Indelicato Family Chiropractic) in Bradenton, FL. Inclusion criteria involved verified patient outcomes related to general wellness. Outcomes primarily focused on subjective reports regarding overall well-being and satisfaction with care. Results: Data from four patient cases indicated consistent improvements in felt general well-being and positive patient satisfaction. Patients reported feeling 'new again,' 'dramatically better,' and experiencing 'significantly improved quality of life.' Objective measures for pain reduction and mobility improvement were not consistently tracked for this cohort. Conclusions: The findings suggest that chiropractic care at SYMETRx Chiropractic and Injury Care is associated with positive subjective outcomes for individuals seeking general wellness, contributing to improved quality of life and overall well-being. Further research with standardized objective metrics is warranted.
